OURPLE GUY NEWSLETTER 3

April 20th, 2026

Hello again! Welcome to our third newsletter! This one will be brief, as we've put this out specifically to update everyone on our recent developmental changes/plans. Don't worry, its nothing bad, but we wanted to prepare y'all for how we'll handle releases in the future.

What's new?

For starters, structure. We've talked about this in the past, and how the next demo had some structure changes to better represent our final product, hence the delay. Later down the line even more changes were made. This didn't lead to any setbacks, though. No worries.

Now, what do we mean by structure? By structure we usually mean the progression, story itself and what songs we intend to include in a release.

Before I go more into that, I want to talk about how we'll handle releases. We come to the realization that trying to release V4 as one big thing altogether, is not ideal. Especially for a project so story-driven.

We have decided we'll be releasing V4 in "chapters" (term likely to change later, but we'll call it that for now.)

This means that:

So, with that. This means the next "demo" you're waiting for, is now "Chapter 1".

What'll the structure for the next release look like, then?

The next release will be both essentially a "V3 Redux" and "V4 Part 1" together in one build!

That said, the next release's structure will consist of:

Expect some songs or even menus to change, like freeplay! We've segmented freeplay songs in 3 categories to make knowing what is and isn't relevant to our story much clearer, making it easier to comprehend.

Here's what a small glimpse at what to look forward to!

We've been hard at work and making sure things look the best they can. We even have been streaming our V3 polish work to our community server! If you wanna give us some input or simply watch us work, feel free to come on over when we're on.

If you're not in the community server already, keep an eye out for a new invite at @WhoUsedHeaddzo on Twitter!

Thank you all for your continued support and we'll see you soon!
